I had this picture come up from back in 2015 a couple of years after having my truck when I upgraded the wheels. Back when the truck was all sparkly, new, and clean with many fewer miles than I have on it now.
In retrospect, while I love how it looked, and currently looks I would never again purposely get black matte rims. One thing they fail to tell you when you go and look, and purchase new wheels and tires is that black rims are very prone to showing wear and tear. No matter how great of a driver you are there is always going to be that random rock or the very edge of the curb that you might slightly tap when making a turn and on these color rims it shows every single thing.
They still look great, and you are likely not to notice if you were to see me parked or driving by but I can tell you it’s one of those OCD things that is always on the back of my mind when I go to get in my truck.
Lesson learned.
