Well for me it was nothing but work and then working on the new house, either packing, moving, or renovating.
The deck on the back of the house had some wear and tear over the years, mainly due to the trees moving/bending the deck. While it took more time than expected to tear up the deck and get it ready for the contractor to complete the bracing of it, I am very happy with the results.
Most of the time was consumed by cutting out the boards that the trees had directly affected. The way that the trees had grown put a lot of force on the boards so it was not just a simple easy cut, rather I had to take turns cutting each side of the boards little by little as there was so much pressure that it was causing the saw blade to stop.
Now the fun part, walking all that wood around the house and tossing it in the back of my truck so I can take it to the dump.
