Recently I was discussing pasta with Justin and he made mention of how easy it is to make from scratch. Honestly the idea never really crossed my mind to make it homemade, but after looking over the simple recipe I figured I would give it a go, and glad I did!. So while I can not claim credit for it I thought I would share it so others can give it a try.
- Mix all ingredients in the mixing bowl until shaggy dough forms.
- Mix with the dough hook until a smooth dough forms (about 10 minutes)
- Cover and let rest at least 30 minutes or store in plastic wrap for up to 24 hours.
The only variations I have really done with this recipe was not using ’00’ flour only due to not being to find it at the local grocery store. I have also experimented with adding in spinach which has turned out well though it does require some additional flour due to moisture from the spinach.
