🪥 Sorry Quip, it’s time to break up.

A while back, I had a Sonicare toothbrush which was great until I dropped it, and it was no more. I then switched to Quip, as I heard good things, and the price was great.

And even though it was a good run, I found a deal for a 2-pack of Sonicare toothbrushes at Costco and pulled the trigger. You might ask why I switched if Quip was working so well. I felt it was not leaving my teeth as clean as my Sonicare used to. I still kept the Quip that I will likely keep in my suitcase for traveling as the form factor is excellent for that, and I still have a stockpile of brush heads that I need to use eventually.

One thing I miss about Quip vs. Sonicare is that Quip synced more valuable data to their app, including dumping it into Apple Health which I have been trying to utilize more over the last couple of years. I hope the Sonicare app will get some updates to provide valuable data, especially for historical reasons. However, I am not even sure if their hardware can track all of the same things that Quip did; or if Phillips will even care to provide that kind of information within their app.
