As I mentioned in a previous post my Apple iPhone 8 Plus had a painful death. So just as any other loyal Apple fanboy would do, I went out and bought an upgrade, and went all-in with the iPhone 11 Pro Max (256GB model) in space gray.
Not only have I been a long time Plex user, but I have built a few Plex servers of the years and I wanted to outline my newest setup. It is quite a beast, especially compared to the previous server which was a 2012 Mac Mini which I only used out of simplicity but in the end it was not powerful enough to handle my needs. The form factor was great but when it came to having to transcode anything, it simply failed.
I wasn’t planning on upgrading anytime soon from my previous 27in 4k display as it offered plenty of screen space, but after talking with a couple of friends about their new 49 Ultrawide setups I thought that I should look into this to see what I was missing.
