π©Έ TIL: A negative blood type
I recently had some general labs completed, which included one that allowed me to find out my blood type, which I had never known before. It turns out I have A- blood type; upon finding that out, I did some research as I figured I might as well know something about my blood.
A-negative (A-) blood type, though less common, brings some unique qualities. People with A-negative blood have special markers on their red blood cells, setting them apart.
Research suggests that A-negative individuals may have a lower risk of certain health issues, such as heart disease and specific cancers.
Additionally, their blood is a universal donor for others with A-negative or A-positive blood types.
