💻 M3 Macbook Air
When the M3 Apple MacBook Air was announced, I was still rocking my clamshell M1 Macbook Air, which was and still is a mighty fine machine that I had no intent on upgrading from… but of course, I couldn't be content without the latest, and greatest.
The clamshell design of the M1 Macbook Air, I feel, is one of the best designs out of the Macbook line, and I have owned a few different Macbooks over the years, so I base this assessment on knowing that there was a newer design. I figured it was only a matter of time until they phased the M1 design out and ended up getting rid of those models for cheap (Well, cheap in Apple terms).
I hesitated initially to make the upgrade, but after further reviewing the trade-in value and hearing about the M1s that were supposed to start being sold at Walmart, I figured it was a good time to take advantage of the upgrade.
Sure, I could have sold my M1 Macbook Air to a private party for more, but Apple made it so easy to purchase a new one at a discounted price and then just send in my M1 Macbook Air once I transferred over all the data.
These days, I don't utilize my laptop as much as I had in years past when I was working for myself, so I can say that it is more than powerful enough for my daily usage and still powerful enough when needed for running a Windows 11 VM here and there.
The design of the M3 Apple MacBook Air itself has grown on me. It is truly one of the best, if not the best, laptops I have owned at this point... but of course, I am excited to see what they have around the corner next, which I heard there is supposed to be a wholly redesigned Macbook Pro coming out in 2026.
